Congratulations!

Our department is full of wonderful and engaging faculty, staff, and trainees who are being recognized on campus, in our community, and nationally for their outstanding work and character. We would like to start recognizing awards and achievements of everyone in the department in every issue of the newsletter.

Congratulations to Jessica Sledge (Pain Clinic) on her BSN degree.

The Fabian Award is given to a medical student who does well on their anesthesia rotation and has gone above and beyond to help promote understanding and anesthesia learning opportunities for the medical students. This year’s recipient was Nicky Rugnath.

Congratulations to our regional anesthesia faculty who hosted a Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) workshop for our graduating CA-3s. POCUS was demonstrated for cardiac, lung, gastric, and vascular access.
